Balanku Hospitals have instituted Corporate help desk and Insurance help desk for an easy guide to cashless hospitalisation facility. Today, most Health Insurance policies do offer cashless hospitalisation facility and route your policy through a Third Party Administrator (TPA). TPA’s have certain hospitals called “Network Hospitals” which are eligible to give cashless facility to the patient. If one is admitted in a “Non-network” hospital, then the bills are to be settled by the patient’s party and later seek re-imbursement through the TPA. There is no free treatment provided by the hospital. This facility just enables oneself to undergo the entire treatment without any direct payment. The cost is borne by the insurance company partially or fully on your behalf. Hospital doesn’t reserve any rights to approve or disapprove your bills. It just mediates between you and your TPA.

For planned admission you should get the pre-authorisation form approved by your TPA 3-4 days prior to hospitalisation. In case of emergency admissions our help desk shall fast track your approval/denial with your TPA. It should be clearly understood that the hospital authorities can in no way influence the approval of your pre-authorisation form with your TPA. In case it’s not approved or the approval comes after your discharge process has commenced, you shall be liable to pay the entire amount before being discharged from the hospital. Our help desk is experienced enough to advice you on the filling of pre-authorisation forms. It would decrease the chances of denials.
